Dear Partners,
The University of Trento is pleased to invite you to the International Staff Week 2026 "Future-Ready Universities. Navigating Challenges in International Mobility and Research". It will take place in the Erasmus+ BIP format in collaboration with the University of Twente and the Autonomous University of Barcelona with virtual activities on 28th and 29th April 2026 and the on campus part from 11th to 15th May 2026 .
Universities are navigating rapid global transformations that demand new strategies, innovative mindsets and strong international cooperation.
Through a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) approach, participants will collaborate in international teams to explore how universities can remain future-ready, resilient and sustainable.
The working groups are organized into two tracks: "International mobility" and "Research".
The challenge consists of analyzing these implications and defining an effective medium- to long-term strategy (5–10 years) that enables universities to respond successfully to these urgent challenges while remaining sustainable and resilient in the future.
The programme also includes a Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, 13th May to promote our partner institutions and exchange opportunities among UniTrento students. Please consider that partner institutions may choose to delegate the participation to their outgoing students currently at UniTrento.
Also scheduled are networking and cultural activities in Trento and the surrounding areas.
Please find more information and the International Staff Week provisional programme here.
Application deadline: 20th February 2026 at 23:59 Italian time (GMT+1).
Please Apply here.
A confirmation of acceptance will be sent via email before 24th February.
The programme is open to administrative and technical staff working in international relations and mobility, research support and management.
The number of participants is limited to 50 (25 per track), with limited overbooking.
Selection will be based on ongoing institutional agreements and individual professional profiles. In order to ensure diversity among the group of participants, only one representative per institution will be accepted, unless otherwise required.

Looking forward to meeting you in Trento!
