Dear Partners,

Warm greetings from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara.

As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Erasmus+ Staff Weeks for training, we are proud to inform you about our very first Erasmus+ teaching week!

We kindly invite you to apply to METU Teaching Week, a structured, high-impact Erasmus+ KA131 Incoming Teaching Staff Mobility hosted from 13 to 17 April 2026 on our campus. The application window is 6 October–10 November 2025.

This year’s theme is Ethics, Responsibility & Sustainability in Engineering. We welcome faculty members from Engineering and experts from related areas (e.g., Engineering Education) who can contribute to first-year introductory courses. Minimum B2 English is expected as per the IIA.

What the week includes:

  • 8 hours of teaching (lectures, seminars, or workshops) over five days
  • Departmental engagement (guest lectures/class visits), research centre & lab visits
  • METU Technopolis (Technopark) tour & stakeholder meetings
  • Guided campus experience and networking; opening briefing & closing gala
  • Capacity limited to 30 participants to maximise interaction

How to apply (through your institution):

  1. Interested academics first apply to their home university for Erasmus+ staff teaching funding.
  2. After your internal selection, please e-mail METU the signed Mobility Proposal (attached), CV, and passport/ID copy.
  3. Deadline: 10 November 2025.

Before application: Please ensure an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) with METU that covers teaching mobility. If not in place, we can conclude one prior to the visit, subject to mutual confirmation. Please also note that hosting is only during the 13–17 April 2026 program; alternative dates cannot be accommodated.

Please find the application details attached and also announced here: http://staffmobility.eu/staffweek/metu-erasmus-incoming-teaching-staff

We would be delighted if you could circulate this call across your departments and staff channels.

Best regards
