On Friday, 27 February 2026, 460 Exchange and Erasmus+ students from 43 countries officially began their educational adventure at AMU. The largest numbers of new students came from Kazakhstan, Spain and Türkiye. However, this semester will also host newcomers from, among others, France, Uzbekistan, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, China, Japan, Brazil, Oman, Madagascar, Mozambique, Taiwan, Croatia, Algeria, Austria, Hungary, the USA, Tunisia and even Myanmar.
Traditionally, warmly welcoming words flowed from:

- Krzysztof Witczak, PhD - representing the Centre of Polish Language and Culture for International Students,
- Ms Patrycja Hamulak - a representative of the Erasmus and Strategic Programmes,
- Mr Paweł Sowa, on behalf of the Erasmus+ Office and International Relations Office,
- Mrs Sylwia Zataj - Gizka from the AMU Physical Education and Sports Centre,
- Mr Bartosz Douglas Milne -the president of the ESN UAM Poznań
- Mrs Natalia Labiak and Mrs Zofia Iwanowska from AMU Welcome Centre
- Natalia Kostić - Social Media Specialist
- Taha Musullu - representing AMU International Students
The Welcome Event, organised by the AMU International Relations Centre in cooperation with ESN_UAM_Poznan and the City of Poznan, is a perfect opportunity for international students to take a closer look at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, its traditions and academic culture, as well as the City of Poznan itself.
