Natasha Doiczman-Loboda, PhD, from the Faculty of Sociology, sends virtual greetings from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where she is staying as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 program.
“I am currently residing at Case Western Reserve University. The reason for my trip is a research collaboration on the joint article that will combine international and interdisciplinary comparative perspectives in the context of foster care and family separation in challenging situations.
The university has welcomed me incredibly warmly, and every day of my stay is filled with meetings and activities. Yesterday morning, I led a class with students on 'The Impact of Substance Use on Adolescent Development.' A highlight of my residency was yesterday's closing lecture, held as an official university-wide event. During the lecture, I outlined the major conclusions of my book, which is being promoted here by the university.
Furthermore, I can conduct various individual research meetings on future collaborations with prominent scientists such as Nancy Rolock, Sonia Minnes, Adrianne Fletcher, Keely Stauter and Mary Erdmans.
I have found this experience to be the most significant, satisfying and developing experience in my professional career.”
