Duration: 4-6 months (duration of the internship can vary between 4 and 6 months, based on the applicant's preferences); the internship starts either in October 2024 or in February 2025 (based on the applicant's preferences)
Commitment: Full-time (hybrid model: on-site work in the lab and remote work between studies); we offer a hybrid internship model, allowing you to work remotely while also experiencing the hands-on environment of our on-site facilities.
Job role description:
This internship is ideally suited for individuals aiming to pursue an academic or research-driven career, providing essential experience and skills that are valuable both in academia and the competitive research market. As a Research Assistant in our team, you will be essential in advancing scientific knowledge through your contributions to our research projects. You'll assist in carrying out research, collecting data, and contributing to the effectiveness of our studies. Your tasks will include delivering experimental procedures, operating testing equipment, promoting research projects on social media, and recruiting participants for our research.
Beyond these core responsibilities, you'll also help expand our reach by enhancing our digital presence. This includes supporting our social media channels and sharing our mission and discoveries with a broader audience. This internship is a valuable chance to dive deep into research methods, explore innovative research-supporting technologies, and deepen your knowledge of work and organizational psychology.
Possible core responsibilities:
- Carrying out research procedures and conducting experiments with human subjects according to the procedure provided,
- Maintaining lab equipment based on given standards and procedures,
- Recruiting participants on social media and other channels,
- Preparing social media posts related to news and recent studies in the field,
- Taking part in team meetings
- Assisting in daily tasks.
Requirements:
- strong proficiency in both written and spoken English (a must-have),
- proficiency with the following apps: Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar,
- proficiency in using various social media platforms for promoting announcements and content to targeted user groups,
- basic skills in using any of these apps will be an additional asset (but is not a necessity): Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheet, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Calendly, WordPress
- will to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges,
- interest in work and organizational psychology,
- curiosity about psychology research methodology and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
