RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION (RRI) TOOLKIT
In March 2016, the EC-funded project “RRI Tools” launched the beta version of the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) Toolkit.
The online platform contains more than 350 resources that help in designing and bringing Horizon 2020 funded projects to life, and to train on responsible research and innovation. It features manuals and background documents, inspiring practices, as well as a self-reflection tool to assess professional practices.
LAUNCH OF SGROUP’S CONSULTATIONS ON GRONINGEN DECLARATION
The Executive Committee of the SGroup Network decided to launch a formal consultation on singing the Groningen Declaration on Digital Student Data Depositories Worldwide on behalf of our members. The signatories of the declaration who call for a more complete and far-reaching delivery of digital student data.
6th SGROUP-UNICA-COMPOSTELA GROUP JOINT WORKSHOP - FINAL CALL FOR REGISTRATIONS
The 6th SGroup-UNICA-Compostela Group Joint Workshop: Rethinking competence development for students' employability: practical solutions for Europe will take place on 14 April 2016 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
The Workshop will address the following topics:
- Innovative practices for fostering students' employability: case studies
- Keeping up with the labour market: How to integrate professional competence development in study curricula?

BERKELEY APPLICATION - PRESELECTION RESULTS
We are pleased to announce that on 1st April a preselection process for the Berkeley Exchange Programme was completed and as as a result the following candidates have been submitted for the final application process for the University of California, Berkeley:
THINK TANK FOR CHINA - CALL FOR EXPERTS EXTENDED
The SGroup Network has launched the Think Tank for China (TT4C) aimed at exploring new collaboration opportunities in higher education in a structured and systematic way.
The TT4C will be composed of experts from SGroup member and partner institutions with the specific expertise in Chinese relations who are willing to exchange their experience and to capitalise on their contacts established in China. With this initiative the SGroup Network implements its objective to extend a global outreach of its members in education, research, and services.
CALL FOR GRADING TABLES FOR THE EGRACONS GRADE CONVERSION TOOL
The SGroup Network being in charge of the sustainability of the Egracons Grade Conversion Tool is pleased to invite its members to submit grading tables.
The EGRACONS tool was developed through the EU-funded project that resulted in setting up a grade conversion methodology and procedures based on the ECTS Users’ Guide approved in 2015. The tool should facilitate the grade conversion of mobility students from across Europe whose study results can now be assessed in an objective and fair way.Read more
SUMMER SCHOOLS AT SGROUP’S MEMBER UNIVERSITIES - CALL FOR EVENTS
Following our practice from previous years, we would like to invite our members to share with us information about summer schools scheduled for this academic year. This information will be compiled and presented in the summer school corner of the SGroup website and in the special edition of our new bulletin for enhanced visibility across Europe.
The information should be submitted to the SGroup Secretariat by 11th April 2016.Read more
EUA FUNDING FORUM IN PORTO
We are pleased to announce that 3rd EUA Funding Forum Efficient universities: Value for society will be hosted at the SGroup member, the University of Porto between 6-7 October 2016.
The Funding Forum is a unique, inclusive platform open to all higher education funding stakeholders – universities and students, public authorities, public and private funders and partners.
